Superman/The Graphic Novel Throughout high school we ask students to look at fictional characters as heroes-tragic heroes, epic heroes, anti-heroes. We apply these concepts to a variety of literary figures from Odysseus to Satan to Atticus Finch. In this unit we apply these concepts, as well as other literary techniques to a different medium: graphic novels. At the end students will have the opportunity to stretch their creative muscles and create their own superhero and graphic novel idea.
